Google Pixel 4 XL

Verizon has started to Rollout the latest Security update i.e., February update to Google Pixel 4, 4XL, Pixel 3 and Pixel 2 series. Already these models had received the January update.

Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL:

Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL was launched in 2019 and it is currently running on Android 10 os. It is getting a 4th system update from Verizon which brings the February security update.

Software Version: QQ1B.200205.002 (Common for pixel 4 and 4XL)

Google Pixel 3A and 3A XL:

Google Pixel 3 A and 3A XL getting the latest Android Security update i.e., February update 2020 from Google. This is the 10th System update for both pixel 3A series apart from security update it is not getting Nothing.

Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL:

Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL get the fr\ebraury update from the Verizon. This is the 17th System update for both pixel 3 series and recently updated to Android 10.

Google Pixel 2 and 2 XL:

Google Pixel 2and 2 XL are old phones which are getting the latest security update up to Now, It is also running on Android 10 os and it is getting February update. This is the 28th System update to both pixel phones.

Apart from the Verizon users in the US this security update is also currently rolling out in Canada for Fido wireless network users too.

How to do Software Update:

Before Downloading Software updates connect Your Device to Wi-Fi and also check whether is a strong network connection in your surroundings and also the battery is fully charged.

Software updates can be done in the following ways.

  • User-Initiated OTA: These can be done manually in your phone by Menu-> Settings-> About Phone-> Software Updates-> Check for Updates-> Download Now. Once the download is completed ask for an install. If u Tap Install it gets power off and restarts your phone starts installing the update and finished it. Tap ok finally.
  • Server Initiated OTA: It is an OTA update that shows the latest software update on the home screen of your phone and starts to download on the background of your screen.
  • Updating while in Roaming: Most of the time you won’t get a new software update while in roaming. While you are in roaming make sure Wi-fi has enabled it or not. If not turn Wi-fi on the state. If the phone meets the requirements it shows the latest software update on the home screen can start to download it. If it is failed to remove the battery and restart to do again.
