Fido Announces Security patch update schedule date for Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Huawei P10 Plus, Huawei P10, and Samsung Galaxy A8.
Fido Canada wireless network has announced security patch to the Huawei Mate 20, Huawei P10, Huawei P10 Plus and Samsung Galaxy A8 Users on its Community Forum Page. It is a temporary schedule date for these devices.
From the Fido Community page, it is come to know that Huawei mate 20 Pro is set to Receive July Security patch update dated on 7 August 2019 which runs on Android 9 pie. Last Update for the Huawei Mate 20 Pro was June Security patch update and EMUI 9.1
Huawei P10 Plus, Samsung Galaxy A8 and Huawei P10:
Next Model joins in these Club is Huawei P10 Plus is set to receive July Security patch update. Along with it is set to get Latest EMUI 9.1 and more updates dated on August 7, 2019. Earlier it got May Security patch update only.
Huawei P10 also joins in the security patch club which is set to receive July security patch, EMUI 9.1 and more updates dated on August 7, 2019. The last update was May security patch update to Huawei P10.

Finally, Samsung Galaxy A8 joins in the security patch schedule. It will get July security patch Update and Next Radio dated on August 12, 2019. The last update was June Security patch update to the Samsung Galaxy A8.
On the online community page, Fido has shared some information regarding updates to the Fido users that all the updates mentioned in these are temporary date may take place from four weeks to six months.

Also, that updates will come or may get stopped without prior notice. The reason behind is that it takes several steps before comes to the users. At first, the security patch update or any updates regarding the particular device is checked by manufactures. Then this update is internally checked by Fido network.
After that it is sent to the approval agencies will check whether it meets FCC and ISED Canada standards. If it meets all the above requirements finally it is sent to Fido Customers via OTA.
