Fido Canada wireless network has announced a tentative October Update schedule Date for the Galaxy A70, Samsung Galaxy A8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Users on its Community Forum Page.

Samsung Galaxy A70:

Samsung Galaxy A70 was launched in 2019 with Android 9 pie will get the October Security patch and also other updates on October 21 From Fido. Last Update was the August Security update for galaxy A70.

Samsung Galaxy A8:

October Security patch update announced for Samsung Galaxy A8 on October 14. Galaxy A8 runs on the latest Android os i.e., Android 9 Pie. Last Update from Fido was the September Security patch Update.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8:

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is getting the latest October security patch update from Fido from October 14. Last update to note 8 was the September security update. It is currently running on Android 9 Pie.

How the Software Update Occur?

All these Firmware updates are OTA Update will take Four weeks to six months to reach the Users. Also, that updates will come or may get stopped without prior notice. The reason behind is that it takes several steps before comes to the users. At first, the security patch update or any updates regarding the particular device is checked by manufactures. Then this update is internally checked by the Fido network.

After that it is sent to the approval agencies will check whether it meets FCC and ISED Canada standards.  If it meets all the above requirements finally it is sent to Fido Customers via OTA.
