Realme has announced the latest Android Security update along with some System update to the Realme 5 Users in India.
October Update to Realme 5:
Realme 5 Users get the October Security update dated 1st October 2019. Realme 5 carries software version Number RMX1911EX_11_A.18 and file size is 2.54GB. Along with Software update, it brings Wide-angle Video to shoot a feature, improves brightness on the rear camera, improved preview clarity on Rear camera on the camera side.

The System Update brings updated font style to support the theme store and also adds realme Laboratory, Dark mode on settings. In the Status bar, it brings fast toggle between Sims, removes the remainder when HotSpot enabled. You can remove messages simply by swipe left or right when you get. On the battery side, it fixes low probability issues.

Realme 5 was launched in 2019 along with realme 5 pro in India. Realme 5 runs on ColorOS 6.0.1 based Android 9 Pie. It is powered by Qualcomm snapdragon 665 soc and battery capacity is 5000 mah. It sport 6.5 inch Mini- drop Full-screen Display and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. On Rear camera, it comes with 12MP+8MP+2MP+2MP while on front 13MP for selfie lovers. It supports 10watts fast charging.

Realme is launching Realme X2 pro in India on 20th November along with that it could be expected to launch ColorOS 7 based Android 10. Realme 5 will get Android 10 very soon.
How to do System Update?
Before Downloading firmware Update takes back all the updates in the phone by Settings->Additional Settings-> Backup and Reset->Back Up and Restore by these steps. Also, keep the battery charge over 30% and also do not switch off the phone while making an update.
Realme 5 Users can download the update from the above link or you can download an update from the Realme software Page. From there you make updates through Simple Mode or Recovery Mode.
