Verizon Wireless has officially released the latest Android Security patch update for LG V40 ThinQ, Moto E5 Go, Moto E6 and Moto E5 Play Prepaid.

LG V40 ThinQ:

LG V40 ThinQ gets the latest software update from Verizon that brings August Security patch dated August 1, 2019, and it is the 6th system Update. It also brings the Screen recording option and Secure power off. The Software version Number is V405UA20c.

Moto E5 Go:

Motorola Moto E5 Go get the latest security patch update dated September 1, 2019, from Verizon. This is the 4th System update and the software version number is OPPS28.151-22-5-6

Moto E6:

Moto E6 get the first system update from the Verizon that brings the latest security patch update dated August 1, 2019. The software version is PCB29.73-81

Moto E5 Play Prepaid:

Motorola Moto E5 play prepaid to get the 8th System update from Verizon brings that the August Security patch update. The software version Number is ODP27.91-121-16

How to do Software Update:

Before Downloading Software updates connect Your Device to Wi-Fi and also check whether is a strong network connection in your surroundings and also the battery is fully charged.

Software update can be done in the following ways.

  • User-Initiated OTA: These can be done manually in your phone by Menu-> Settings-> About Phone-> Software Updates-> Check for Updates-> Download Now. Once the download is completed ask for an install. If u Tap Install it gets power off and restarts your phone starts installing the update and finished it. Tap ok finally.
  • Server Initiated OTA: It is OTA update which shows the latest software update in the home screen of your phone and starts to download on the background of your screen.
  • Updating while in Roaming: Most of the times you won’t get a new software update while in roaming. While you are in roaming make sure Wi-fi has enabled it or not. If not turn Wi-fi on the state. If the phone meets the requirements it shows the latest software update on the home screen can start to download it. If it is failed remove the battery and restart it to do again.
